After Germany and Sweden Siemens started testing its eHighway also in the USA, more precise, near the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, California.

With californian project they want to show, how highway, equiped with electric zip lines, can function in dense urban environment. In both directions along one mille stretch in Carson, Clifornia, they built overhead catenary line, which will serve to trucks equiped with pantographs. The test fleet is made up of battery-electric trucks, compressed natural gas-electric hybrids and disesel-electric big truck.

But that is not the end of story. Siemens is namely planning three more trials on german roads by 2019.
