From the 27th February to the 2nd March 2017 Barcelona will be the host of Mobile World Congress.

Mobile World Congress (MWC) is the world's biggest and best mobile industry event comprising of a massive exhibition, an award-winning conference. This is the event for anyone and everyone in mobile and those in adjacent industries who want to discover how mobile technology can benefit their industries. MWC takes place each year in the Mobile World Capital Barcelona, Spain, at two venues: Fira Gran Via and Fira Montjuïc.

The 2017 exhibition will feature more than 2,200 companies and occupy 100,000 square metres of net exhibition and hospitality space across eight exhibition halls and numerous outdoor spaces. Conference programme will provide an essential, in-depth coverage of the contemporary and future mobile industry, highlighting specific areas of growth and opportunity.

The GSMA launched the SDGs in Action mobile app with the United Nations and Project Everyone to increase awareness of and engagement with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The app now includes newly integrated augmented reality functionality to enable attendees to collect SDG 'goals' from various image targets situated throughout Fira Gran Via.
