After months of testing, Microsoft has finally approved the distribution of the Skype Translator application for the general public. Skype Translator can now be downloaded from the Windows Store.

For some months, the application has been available only to a small circle of beta testers. Microsoft has now removed this limitation, so the "preview" version is available to all. This means we can all now use the Skype Translator, which ub real time translates from English, Spanish, Italian and Mandarin.

Those who have tried the application say it is, in spite of certain difficulties, possible to have a dialogue with another person who does not speak your language. Whether the Skype Translator will manage to create a true small revolution within the ways of our communication, where language barriers may cease to exist, remains to be seen. Regardless of that, you can download the Skype Translator from the online Windows Store, and it can be installed and used within the Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 operating systems.
