With this event they, of course, earned an entry in the Guinness Book of Records and convincingly improved the last record, which was reached last September in Cupertino, California (507 electric vehicles). They also improved their own achievements, since they set the record for the first time in 2013 in Zurich with 305 vehicles and for the second time in May 2014 in Stuttgart with 487 vehicles.

This record achievement in Berlin is also the announcement for the Wave Trophy 2015, an EV rally. The acronym Wave namely stands for "World Advance Vehicle Expedition". Participants will gather June 12 in Berlin and will then drive through Germany into the Alps and, after passing some of the highest mountain passes, one of which will be the famous Passo Stelvio, they will gather in the Swiss capital of Bern.
