BMW CEO Harald Krueger  has reportedly already confirmed that a production version of the i8 Concept Spyder will make its debut in the near future. The vehicle debuted in concept form over three years ago at the Geneva Auto Show in 2012.

The i8 coupe produces 357 total horsepower from its electric and gasoline engines, powered by a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder engine developing 228bhp. Those motors are backed with a 7.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

With removable roof panels Spyder looks like more Batmobile, even if it's not the fastest car in the world.
