Levi's and Google teamed up to create a smart jacket for the urban cyclist.

On the outside, it doesn't much differ from most other denim jackets, however the newest in wearable technology, officially called Levi's® Commuter™ x Jacquard by Google Trucker Jacket, is said to be the first ever smart garment with such technology integrated in the garment itself.

Project Jacquard and Levi's own innovation team created interactive textiles that can be used and adapted by any (fashion) designer, even if they aren't exactly tech savvy. The technology is litereally woven into the fabric itself, so you can't even see it all - what you can see is a detachable tag. Once you remove it, the smart jacket is even machine washable, just like any other.

The best thing about it is that a cyclist can - by tapping or swiping the "smart tag" on the sleeve's cuff - stay seamlessly connected during the entire ride without having to stop to get directions or being distracted by pulling out the smart phone to answer phone calls, search for information or change a tune on a smart phone. The ride can be more stress-free and safer, since the cyclists don't need to take their eyes off the road, yet stay connected at the same time.

You'll be able to gear up with the smart jacket in the Spring of 2017!
