The Project Lowline is to be completed between 2018 and 2020. But guess what? For the test, Lab will open its doors on Saturday, October 17 at noon.

A green park under the surface? Why not. The plan is to create a park under the city of New York in an abandoned tram station closed since 1948. The project was named Lowline and is to be opened between 2018 and 2020. But first the creators have to test the idea on a smaller scale. The Lowline Lab is situated in a formerly abandoned market on the Lower East Side where you'll get the opportunity to see this experimental technology up-close and even interact with the experiments.

The Lowline Lab is to come alive on October 17 of this year for a period of 5 months (will be free and open to the public every Saturday and Sunday through March 2016). In the darker autumn and winter months they will assess how much sunlight they can transfer and how this will affect the plant life, while they will also be measuring visitor satisfaction. You'll find more information here.
