Hyundai is adding a compact crossver to its SUV range, but that is not all. It will also feature an electric drive in the future.

From Korea comes the word, that electric Kona will have a 64 kWh battery, which should be enough to allow for 500 kilometers of electric drive. It will put Kona on pair with ne Chevrolet Bolt, Opel Ampera-e or Tesla Model 3.

Technicaly electric Kona will have the same 204 hp motor as Bolt and also its battery is supposed to come from LG Chem, which also provided batteries for Bolt. Kona will also be adapted to all electric charging systems, which are expected to come in near future.
